Specialty coffee finds its home in community rather than any particular city. That’s what we'll find when we fly out to Hingapi Coffee, a neighborhood cafe in Northern Mindanao, Philippines, named after the Visayan word for "people who find comfort in coffee.”

Join us for Community Cupping, to share in that comfort, the generous conversations, and possibly fortuitous connections, on September 9, Wednesday, 1pm - 4pm, (Philippine Standard Time) as we cup a curation of Competition Series and Ultra-Premium coffees featuring Ethiopia, Colombia, the USA, and Panama. 

Hingapi began as a family-owned, distinctly hyperlocal pop-up cafe that has steadily grown a solid fan-base. In the past few years, they set down roots as a coffee shop in Cagayan de Oro City, especially for regulars to settle in without counting the hours, and to foster warmer and closer connections among Mindanao’s specialty coffee community.

We’d love to meet specialty coffee practitioners and enthusiasts — roasters, baristas, home brewers, aspiring competitors — alongside coffee entrepreneurs and industry pillars.
