Panama’s Most Exceptional Cups
Best of Panama 2025: Stories of Panama Geisha
The Best of Panama 2025: Canvas of Terroir celebrates the narratives behind every producer — the quiet decisions, bold experiments, and generational care that shape Panama’s most exceptional coffees.
This year, we’re sharing these stories with you through the lots we won at auction. Some come from longtime friends whose work we’ve championed for years, while one marks the beginning of a new partnership we’re excited to introduce.
First, Tierra Blanca C-5 by Tierra Blanca Geisha Coffee, the 20th place winner in Geisha Washed. A refreshing, classic Geisha carrying jasmine, papaya, pear, and white grapes. A reflection of Kyle Snider and Larry Kolek’s devotion to land and community.
Next, the 20th place in Geisha Natural: La Higa Janson Reserve from the Janson family of Janson Coffee. It’s a mindful, quietly confident cup, with delicate white florals and jasmine, lifted by vibrant blueberry, peach, and citrus fruit.
Then, a layered, expressive profile of orange, jasmine, juicy florals, bergamot, and honeysuckle. This is the 12th place in Geisha Natural, GN Mister Luis from Santamaria Estate Coffee.
And finally, the 8th place in Geisha Natural, India Nueva TCR by Agricola Geisha: a rich, brooding coffee shaped by dark-skinned fruits and lifted by elegant florals.
Each of these lots tell their own stories, showing each producers’ history of trust, curiosity, and connection. Experience them for yourself through the link in bio.

Best of Panama Auction Lots
Finally, we get to share something we’ve been holding close: four Best of Panama Auction Lots. Each one earned its place through multiple rounds of rigorous blind cupping and professionally calibrated scoring, rising to an esteemed stature in one of our world of coffee’s most competitive and most prestigious arenas.
These lots were crafted by producers whose work we deeply respect: Santamaria Estate, Adaura Coffee, Mil Cumbres, and Janson Coffee. Some are connections we’ve newly begun, while one is a relationship we’ve been lucky to deepen over time.
With less than seven kilograms of each lot to go around, this release is rare and meaningful, a chance to embrace and cherish. These are coffees shaped by expertise, patience, and reverence for provenance. Each one offers a unique sensory glimpse into the minds and landscapesthat made them possible.
As we appreciate these awe-inspiring work of our producing partners, we fuel the fire of our shared passion for the relentless pursuit of specialty coffee excellence. We’re proud to celebrate these coffees, these partnerships, and everything they represent and make us look forward to. Here’s to what we’ve accomplished and all the beautiful coffees still to come.
