Business Pursuit to Personal Passion

Tierra Blanca Geisha: Symbiosis of Terroir, Variety, Community

Tierra Blanca Geisha Coffee has transformed, from a straightforward pursuit for returns to a sustained & rewarding symbiosis with the land & the community flourishing with it.

The life-long friendship between co-founders Kyle Snider and Larry Kolek developed an entrepreneurial dimension that led to Tierra Blanca’s creation.

Initially,Kyle and Larry pursued a real estate investment in the agricultural uplands of Tierras Altas, Volcán, Chiriquí with a sole focus on achieving optimal material returns. As they listened to and learned from the locals in their farm’s vicinity, their mission and ambition have come to surpass conventional business goals.

Relying on the local community’s indigenous coffee knowhow while investing in improving their post-harvest processing capabilities, Tierra Blanca has produced Panama Geisha recognized in the 2024 Best of Panama, placing 5th in the Geisha Washed and 13th in the Geisha Natural categories. In 2025, they remained among the auction lot awardees with a Geisha Natural in 20th place.

With each milestone Tierra Blanca achieves,  Kyle and Larry’s commitment to enrich their adopted community increases, recognizing that their continued communal success depends on ensuring the sustained well-being of the natural coffee-growing environment and its people. Because of this, too, Tierra Blanca has transformed in their view, from business into an all-consuming passion.

As we taste our share of their success in these new coffees, we relish the exquisite sensory range of the Panama Geisha’s exceptional quality — realized through the joint efforts of Kyle, Larry, and the Tierra Blanca community— alongside the reasons we all do that we do together.
