A Legacy Built by Chance
Hacienda La Esmeralda: Serendipitous Excellence
A legacy of exceptional coffee began almost by accident, when Geisha was planted — serendipitously — at the highest elevations of a Jaramillo farm. A chance decision became the origin story of the Hacienda La Esmeralda legendary Peterson family.
They’ve been redefining excellence ever since. Since 2004, the Petersons have stood among the most celebrated producers at the Best of Panama, and this year, they achieved a historic Triple Crown: 1st place in Geisha Washed, Geisha Natural, and Varietal — securing alongside each the Best of Panama Cup.
Their coffees are the product of meticulous farming, careful processing, and an unwavering devotion to quality. Aguila 3NC reveals honeyed mango and jackfruit, while Geisha Natural Guabo 4 ANB unfolds in complex layers of plumcot, orange, raspberry, and fresh flowers. Geisha Washed Vista 4FB moves with a delicate dance of violets, orange blossoms, jasmine, and red apple, and Natural Guabo 3BANC Floral offers sweetened melon and ripe mango.
Here, natural beauty meets intention, so it can be distilled into every cup. Savor these expressions of origin and heritage by ordering through the link in our bio.
