HiU Coffee: Steady Growth and Geisha
Crafting remarkable coffee requires a devotion to process. It’s a philosophy long embodied by Graciano Cruz Landero, whose specialty project HiU Coffee Farms continues to grow with the same steady pursuit of excellence.
Rooted in the rich volcanic soils of Boquete, Panama highlands, HiU Coffee is known for cultivating coffees that reflect both place and precision. What began in Panama has since expanded across farms in El Salvador, Peru, and Brazil, alongside a growing presence as an exporter of exceptional coffees.
Graciano’s work is guided by consistency, experimentation, and a deep respect for craft. It’s an approach that has earned HiU Coffee regular recognition on the competition stage, including recent placements at the 2025 Best of Panama, where they ranked 7th in the Geisha Washed category and 6th in Geisha Natural.

Panama - Los Lajones Bambú Geisha Washed lot 8 AB
jasmine, sweet lemon, apricot, pear, white grapes
That dedication to detail reveals itself in the cup.
The Bambú Geisha Washed Lot 8 AB opens with jasmine before unfolding into sweet lemon, apricot, pear, and white grape. Meanwhile, the Bambú Geisha Washed Lot 5 BB carries vibrant citrus layered with sweet and gentle tropical fruit.
They’re two expressions of the same goal: coffees shaped by the quiet ambition to keep refining what the land can offer.
