Introduced by Jose Manuel Gallardo of Café Gallardo to his family’s parcel of land amid the cloud forests in 2006, the Panama Geisha has elevated the stature of their coffee estate, which began in the 1960s with more common varieties Typica, Catuai, and Caturra.

Led by Jose Gallardo today, Finca Nuguo has constantly figured in the Best of Panama’s Auction Lots since 2021, most recently being awarded with the Top 3 Geisha Washed in 2025. These multiple recognitions result from the family’s decades of steadfast commitment to remaining closely involved throughout every stage of cultivation and production.
