For Lost Origin Coffee Lab, this question has been their compass since their founding in January 2023. Its team of relentless explorers consciously defy disciplinary boundaries, merging craft beer and artisanal coffee production techniques to realize a cup’s full potential. 

In their processing facility above a craft brewery in Panama City, adventure is part and parcel of their work.

They’ve transformed fermentation into scientific storytelling — experimentation that has bore remarkable fruit. A year after they started, they produced the 2024 World Brewers Cup Champion’s coffee and, just this year, they placed 5th in Geisha Washed for the 2025 Best of Panama. 

But Lost Origin’s success isn’t the only thing that makes them special. Their comfort with failure is truly remarkable, integrating trial and error seamlessly into their drive to broaden coffee potential. Each attempt, whether triumphant or not, brings them closer to understanding flavor in its fullest form.
