Flavors Shaped in Quiet Places

Janson and Janson X: Coffee Legacies and Experimentation

Janson Coffee's pursuit of depth begins in a meticulous environment — their carefully kept dark rooms. Within these controlled spaces, airflow and humidity are guided with precision, allowing each coffee’s potential to unfold with clarity and intention.

Legacy and success are also major parts of Janson Coffee’s story. A story that began in  1926, when Carl Axel Janson laid the foundation for what would later be in the pinnacle of the global coffee landscape. Today, under the stewardship of Kai and Jannette Janson, the estate continues to earn recognition, carrying forward a history shaped by meticulous, mindful craft and cultivation.

Progress remains central to their work.

Through the Janson X, an innovation that includes a methodical pre-drying process that gently sheds water out of the coffee, priming the beans before  being transferred into what they call the Janson X Box, temperature-controlled darkrooms where humidity and airflow are carefully managed. An innovation on its own terms that highlights very well the vibrant fruit character while refining sweetness and structure in the final cup.

This release captures both heritage and experimentation. Enjoy a classic Janson lot in the Los Alpes Lot 7926’s lively mix of skittles, cherry, mango, lanzones, and winegum. Alongside it, the Janson X Los Alpes GW Lot 815 reveals bright layers of mandarin, apple, lychee, raspberry, and mango, while the Janson X Los Alpes GN Lot 4 unfolds with notes of orange blossom, sugarcane, pear, papaya, and chamomile.
