Café Granja La Esperanza: The Forefront of Colombian Coffee

Among the first producers to cultivate Geisha in Colombia, Cafe Granja La Esperanza as long stood at the forefront of the country’s specialty coffee movement.

Today, under the leadership of third-generation producers Rigoberto and Luis Eduardo Herrera, the estate continues to evolve while preserving the passion that shaped the CGLE legacy. From upgraded mechanized systems to carefully controlled fermentations, every refinement is designed to produce cleaner, more flavorful coffees across each lot.

This pursuit of precision has secured CGLE’s place among Colombia’s most celebrated producers. Most recently, their Geisha Natural Cerro Azul helped power Mihnea Nicolescu to 1st place at the 2026 Romanian Brewers Cup — another milestone in a long history of competition-level coffees.

This latest selection reflects that same spirit of innovation. Las Margaritas CGLE-17 unfolds with peach cobbler, mandarine, pineapple, and winegum sweetness, while Cerro Azul Geisha Hybrid Washed reveals white florals and bright citrus layered over sparkling white wine.
