Bambito Estate Coffee occupies a place of prestige among Panama’s most esteemed coffee- producing families, with accolades like 1st Place in the 2021 Best of Panama Geisha Washed category, the highest in a consistent track record in this category, including 5th Place in 2019, 3rd in 2020, 9th in 2022, and 13th in 2023, alongside top rankings in Geisha Natural and Varietals through the years.

Leading this legacy of excellence is Priscilla Amar Sitton, the face and the heart of the long-running family coffee heritage that began with her grandfather Alberto’s passion to honor his father by stewarding the land he acquired in the Bambito Mountains as their homestead in the early 1900s.

As Priscilla cultivates her children’s passion for upholding their family’s lineage of coffee excellence, she fosters their commitment to protect the pristine quality of their ancestral land, ensuring their capability to produce remarkable coffees will flourish, as a means of preserving their beloved way of life — both the land and coffee allow — for generations to come.

Panama Geisha is a rare coffee variety with an extremely delicate root system that requires the perfect alignment of climatic, agronomic, and temporal factors in order to thrive and bear cherries with the complexity and flavor clarity that have captivated specialty coffee lovers, and especially coffee champions, since its phenomenal debut at the Best of Panama in 2004.

Through the expertise of passionate producers like the Amar Sitton family, legacy enterprises like Bambito Estate preserve the pristine natural environment where Panama Geisha best flourish, and process their cherries with intention and tact to carve out myriad, new, delightful flavor directions time and again.
