A Family Listening to Panama’s Terroir
Finca Los Cenizos: A Mother’s Love in Each Cup
The terroir of Panama speaks. Estela Pitti & her children listen, nurture, & translate it into flavor.
Raised just a few kilometers away from where the Finca Los Cenizos estate now stands, Estela grew up with afternoons at the mills of her father’s friends, watching coffee get processed into a drink that shares joy around a lively dining table.
What began with Patricio, a rancher who planted coffee out of love, has become Estela’s lifelong pursuit — one she now carries forward with her children, Stella Marie and Niko.
Together, in Cerro Punta, Tierras Altas, Estela and her children work in step with their land — 1800–2200 masl of volcanic soils, mountain springs, and ash trees — where coffee cherries slowly ripen into layered sweetness and depth. Each harvest is a conversation with terroir, and each cup an interpretation of its voice.
Since 2019, that devotion has been consistently recognized at the Best of Panama. This year is no different. They achieved some of their greatest milestones yet at the BOP 2025: 2nd Place in Geisha Natural, 6th Place in Geisha Washed, and 6th Place in Varietals. But, these podium finishes are not just awards, they are affirmations of the family’s ongoing dialogue with place, season after season.
With each lot produced, it becomes clear that Finca Los Cenizos is a family. Every lot they produce bears the mark of their love, labor, and land. In their coffees, terroir is not background; it is the lead voice, carried faithfully into every sip.
So, for a moment, pause with us. Let’s honor the family who made each of our coffee journeys possible with a cup of Finca Los Cenizos. Dropping soon on our webshop.
