La Palma & El Tucan is one of the most innovative producers in Colombia. Through years of hard work and experimentation, quality has been formed into perfection. With the highest standards of processing involving a mix of science, research, and history comes one of the most exciting flavor profiles on the market from one of the newest exotic varietals that is Sidra.

Sidra is a new cross variety, combining the characteristics of Red Bourbon and Typica. It has acquired the sweetness and the body of Red Bourbon, and the bright taste and acidity of Typica.

La Palma & El Tucan is an innovative farm, located two hours outside the capital of Bogota, on the eastern range of the Colombian Andes. This coffee is a nano-lot from their Estate & Varietals program. Due to the high cup score, this particular lot joins the HERO’S SERIES selection. Their exotic varietals have been carefully cultivated at their farm through the Lactic Process. The coffee cherries are fermented in closed tanks for an extended period of time to achieve a higher concentration of lactic acid bacteria. This Anaeronic fermentation creates a very distinctive cup profile of tropical fruits with a velvety body and a winey acidity.
